Reply to Brandon Grimm Comment

This morning I got up to a surprise in my email. Someone had commented on one of my Blogs. The fact that someone in general commented surprised me but what got me even more was who it was. In hopes that you will read this post I want to tell you that I am very happy that you read my post. You are a very strong person for how you handled yourself that night. The only thing I can say to your thank you, from lack of better words, is your welcome. Stay strong and if you ever need to talk, I’m here to listen.

Whole Milk

Last night I decided to start Neal on whole Milk. He is on his very last can of formula and I wanted to make sure he would like it before going completely out of it. He loves it. I gave him some before his lunch today and I could not get the cup away from him to give him his lunch. Last night he got some with dinner and did not need a bottle when he went to bed for the night. Thats awesome! I do know he likes to wake up when I go to bed, because we have to share a room since I'm living with my parents, so i will try my best to remember to give him a little bit of whole milk. I can't wait for him to be completely off of formula. I can handle $3 and some change every time he runs out vs $23 every time he runs out. So yeah, I'm very excited that he took to the milk so well.

11 Months

There has been quiet a bit I have not put up here yet. Dang... lol. Well Neal is walking fully now. He still has those moments where he falls. He is still working on standing up without having to pull up on something. We have gone to the park a couple of times and he has had lots of fun just being himself. He can say momma, dada, nana, and Hi. We are working on bye bye and pop pop. Um... I know there is more but I'm really tired and can't think of it all.. I will just have to leave it off here. Today I will be taking Neal out for a walk since it is so nice out. YAY for warm weather. lol Bye everyone.

Walking: Neal Update

Neal is now walking. He still has some balance problems but he gets over it. I can't believe it. He is only 10 months old and is walking. I heard most children don't start walking until they are a year old. I guess Neal is a bit ahead of things. So anyways. Since my last update we have gotten about 18 inches of snow total. On the weekend of Jan. 30 we got 11 inches. On the weekend of Feb. 6 we got about 5 inches and just yesterday we got about 2 inches. We still have a lot of snow on the ground. Neal has been a lot better. I was able to get pictures of him playing in the snow over the weekend. He loved it and I had a hard time keeping him out of the driveway where all the dirty snow was. He has 7 teeth, walking, um... I'm trying to think. Its been a long couple of weeks. Ok so I'm brain dead right now lol. I hope you enjoy the video of Neal walking. He has been getting very brave. He makes me so happy.

Snow and Neal Updates

So, it is suppose to start snowing tomorrow night through Sat night. They at first said that it wouldn't be a lot. Then they said we will get about 4 to 7 inches. Now they are saying 5 to 8 inches. Only tomorrow will tell what will happen.

For the past week or two Neal has been sick. Just a cold though. Has the runny nose, so so sleepy, and boy has he been cranky. In the  midst of all of this he got another tooth. We are now at 7 total. I'm sure in a few days he will have 8 because he has been getting them two at a time. He has been getting a bit more brave and is starting to let go of the furniture while standing. He does pretty good sometimes and others not so great. We are working with him and I almost can't wait for him to start walking.

R.I.P Brandon Grimm

Last night at about 1am there was a really back car accident just up the road from my house. 3 people were involved, 2 males and 1 female. One person was ejected from the vehicle (one of the males), the female was pinned between the car and a tree. She was the one who called 911. The other male was trapped in the car. Brandon was D.O.A (aka Dead on Arrival). The female, who was his girlfriend, and the other male was rushed by helicopter to MCV in Richmond, VA. Although I did not personally know these three, it makes me very sad. I went to school with all three of them. Brandon graduated in 08, his girlfriend in 09, and the other male in 08. I graduated in 07. I remember seeing Brandon in the halls and in Wal-Mart where I use to work. I'm sending prayers to his family. His uncle is a fireman for our fire department. My prayers are also going out to the females and the other males families. One is doing ok while the other is in critical care. I left the other two names out because I did not feel it would be best considering what state they are in right now. I was up when this happened and I listened to all of the transmission that came across the scanner for this accident. It really has me upset.

It's Been awhile

I can't remember the last time I was on here.. I can't remember if it was before or after Christmas. lol. Well Neal is 9 months old now. A few things have happened in the past week or so. Neal has been saying mama. Not often but he still says it. The other day he was on his knees pushing a diaper box across the living room. It was too cute and I wish I could have gotten a picture but by the time I had thought of it he had already stopped playing with the box. ALSO! I am so proud of my little man. He is turning into a toddler. lol He is very quickly leaving behind that baby stage. Yesterday, Jan. 8, 2010, He stood on his own without holding onto something! I was blown away lol. I knew it was coming but I didn't know when. I was so happy to see him do this on his own. I hope to work on it some more to where he will be doing this for long periods of time. Well.. I think thats all I am going to update for the moment. I will try to update more often. Have a good week everyone!
